Father Joe’s Villages is an all-volunteer and non-profit organization that aims to transform lives and end the cycle of homelessness in Southern California. They are the largest residential homeless service provider in the area catering to up to 1,500 individuals ranging from infants and adolescents to adults and seniors every day.
Together with their partner agencies St. Vincent de Paul Village in San Diego and Martha’s Village & Kitchen in Indio, CA, they have been preparing and giving out up to 4,000 meals to their beneficiaries for over 62 years. Their services are based on a one-stop-shop model where they give housing, healthcare, food, clothing, education, job training, and child development to the people under their care.
People who want to help in their cause are welcome to make donations like financial help, used goods from households, and car donations. All items are highly appreciated and are guaranteed to be put to good use by the organization. No item or amount is too small or too big for Father Joe’s Villages. People who want to offer their time are also welcome to volunteer.
Their home office is located at 3350 E Street, San Diego, CA and their hotline is 1.800.HOMELESS. For more information, please visit their website at http://my.neighbor.org.
