The Chula Vista Animal Care Facility ensures health and safety for animals and citizens in Chula Vista, Imperial Beach, National City and Lemon Grove.
Apart from this, they also advocate spaying and neutering as a solution to the problem of animal overpopulation in the area.
Members of the community can help the group through donating financially here.
In addition, people can also help through volunteering at the Animal Care Facility. Some volunteer opportunities include caring and feeding of animals, exercising animals, assisting the public with adoptions, clerical work and providing general maintenance.
Moreover, interested parties can also open up their homes for pets that are waiting for their permanent homes through becoming foster parents. Supplies necessary to care for the animals are provided, including food, baby formula, medicine, heating pads, pet carriers, etc. while the foster parents will provide the care, attention, housing and love that the pets need.
They can be found at130 Beyer Way, Chula Vista. Their facility is open from Tuesdays to Fridays at 10:00 in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon and on Saturdays at 10:00 in the morning to 4:00 in the afternoon.
