Second Chance is inviting everyone who wishes to return to the work force to participate in their Job Readiness Training program. The third batch for 2013 will begin on March 15, 2013 and will end on April 12, 2013.
The program is designed to assist individuals with changing their old behaviors and attitudes. It’s about changing old negative behaviors and empowering individuals with the tools necessary to not only get a “job” but how to develop a career.
The four-week course will be focusing on soft skills training which includes interviewing techniques and behavior modification.
Participants will be given a chance to land a job with over 400 employers in the San Diego area working together with Second Chance. Students will be matched with a potential employer based on their experience and expertise so that at the end of the course, they will be ready to take on a new and fulfilling career.
This program is open to all participants who wish to join at no cost. It is Second Chance’s own way of helping change the lives of some of the most “difficult-to-serve” populations in the region including at-risk youth, the homeless, those recovering from addiction, and former prisoners reentering the community.
